5 out of 5 stars Nice Shoe   October 17, 2008
    GottaRun (NH, USA)
These are identical to the "real" Birkenstocks (they are licensed by Birkenstock). Very comfortable, like all Birks, they are even better as they break in. I love the soft suede, but you might want to spray them to keep them clean. I'm usually a 6.5 but ordered a 6 (37) and they fit perfectly, but could have even bought a 36. Great Deal for this shoe, arrived promptly.

5 out of 5 stars I think they do look like hobbit wear as someone said but   June 12, 2008

They are awesome and very comfortable, of course I bought them for only $19.95 from a Shoe Pavilion here in Oregon. I highly recommend these for those I want comfort day's, I also bought a Betula Quentin in black suede for the same price which is more a sandal, sure I will get years of use out of these.

5 out of 5 stars Great shoes   May 12, 2008

These shoes are great looking, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. I recieved them quick with no problems. They cost a little more than what I was looking to spend, but worth it.

2 out of 5 stars Comfy But poorly made   April 12, 2008

These shoes look great and are comfortable, but the little buttons break and the strap comes apart. After searching the internet I bought a few spare buttons, but we had to pay almost as much as the shoes cost. If you gotta have them they're not too bad, otherwise you may want to keep looking.

5 out of 5 stars Love love love   February 13, 2008
    Sharon Cowger (Baltimore, MD)
I ordered these shoes originally last year sometime. It was love at first wear so i was heart broken when my dog (well, puppy) decided to munch on and destroy one of the pair. After the Holidays I ordered myself another pair and was miserable the month I went without them.

Make sure you get yourself teh right size so the shoes hugs your foot in its loving and oh so comfortable grip. If you have sweaty feet like I do wear them with socks for awhile. Doing thus helps keep your feet warm even on very cold days (by very cold I'm talking teens with lower wind chills) as well as helping to keep the shoe cleaner. I like to wait until spring to de-sock then wear them around and let my feet contour the inside of the shoe. When you do this the inside will slowly conform perfectly to your foot. So much so in fact that a friend tried to borrow my last pair to run out to her car only to find that they were incredibly uncomfortable to her. Meanwhile the same shoe was like a slipper or glove to me.

Be patient with these shoes and you will most definitely be rewarded with comfort and a long lasting shoe. I've had Berk's last 10 years and you won't find a better deal then on Amazon.
