Product Description New for 2006, the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus is a slightly heavier update to the legendary Babolat Pure Drive Team Plus. Meant to more closely replicate the weight of Andy's racquet, the Pure Drive Roddick Plus provides a little more stiffness and power (even more than the standard length Pure Dive Roddick), provided you are able to handle the additional weight and length. Still categorized as a tweener (between powerful/controlled), the Pure Drive Roddick Plus should retain its appeal to a wide array of players. Works well at the net (though not quite as maneuverable), as well as the baseline. Babolat also makes use of a new vibration dampening material called Cortex placed at the top of the handle and acts as an active dampener, without sacrificing feel.Racquet Specifications- Headsize: 100 sq. in.

| Customer Reviews: Great Raqcuet October 8, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am a 5.0 ranked player. I was participating in a tournament yesterday, and my head raqcuet was being restrung. So i Go over to my club and get the Babolat Pure Drive Andy Roddick racquet. And what a nice surprise. Serves, at least 20-30 miles faster. Sweet spot is HUGE!! Volleys were nice. Over heads, awesome. The only issue i had with it was the weight, which i didn't feel while playing, but now i have a sore arm. Ill get used to it after i use it more.
If your a big server and a big baseline player, then this is for you. Volley's are alright, no problems. But if your big on the net game, go for the flexpoint.
Not for doubles June 3, 2006 B. Bosse (Atlanta, GA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The Babolat pure drive Roddick plus was purchased recently by me on advice of my teaching pro. I am a former Division III college player who now plays doubles only and found that this racquet does not have the touch of my previous Prince racquet. The sweet spot is very small and it it not a good volley racquet. If you are a high level USTA 5.0 player who hits the sweet spot consistently then this racquet may be for you provided you are a singles baseline player. If you are a serve volley player skip this racquet.
